ARTI ARSITEKTURE IALAH
Arsitektur adalah seni dan ilmu dalam merancang bangunan. Dalam artian yang lebih luas, arsitektur mencakup merancang dan membangun keseluruhan lingkungan binaan, mulai dari level makro yaitu perencanaan kota perancangan perkotaan arsitektur lansekap, hingga ke level mikro yaitu desain bangunan, desain perabot dan desain produk. Arsitektur juga merujuk kepada hasil-hasil proses perancangan tersebut.
Arsitektur adalah bidang multi-dispilin, termasuk di dalamnya adalah matematika, sains, seni, teknologi, humaniora, sejarah, filsafat, dan sebagainya. Mengutip Vitruvius, “Arsitektur adalah ilmu yang timbul dari ilmu-ilmu lainnya, dan dilengkapi dengan proses belajar: dibantu dengan penilaian terhadap karya tersebut sebagai karya seni”. Ia pun menambahkan bahwa seorang arsitek harus fasih di dalam bidang musik, astronomi, dsb. Filsafat adalah salah satu yang utama di dalam pendekatan arsitektur. Rasionalisme, empirisisme, fenomenologi, strukturalisme, post-strukturalisme, dan dekonstruktivisme adalah beberapa arahan dari filsafat yang mempengaruhi arsitektur.

Citing Vitruvius, "Architecture is the science that arise from other sciences, and is equipped with the learning process: assisted with the assessment of these works as art." She adds that an architect should be well versed in the field of music, astronomy, etc.. Philosophy is one of the major in architecture approach. Rationalism, empiricism, phenomenology, structuralism, post-structuralism, and dekonstruktivisme are some directions from philosophy influencing architecture.
