SERENA WILLIAMS, the 29-year-old tennis champion, is rumoured to be engaged to her boyfriend, the hip-hop artist and actor COMMON, reports the Examiner. Speculation arose earlier this week when Williams' friend SELITA EBANKS made an appearance on 'The WENDY WILLIAMS Show' and refused to deny reports of a proposal.
Rumours of an engagement soon began to spread across social networking sites after Ebanks was asked whether Williams had any plans to walk down the aisle, to which she replied, "I'm the best friend, and I wouldn't be the best friend if I told you, so I don't know. Common would be smart if he did marry her. So, he'd be a very smart man". The couple have been dating since 2008 and during an interview on The ELLEN DEGENERES Show last year, the hip-hop star spoke about his intention to eventually tie the knot, saying, "I definitely want to get married. I would love to get married and have kids".
Despite being a GRAMMY AWARD winning musician, Common has recently moved into acting and has had roles in the likes of 'Smoking Aces', 'American Gangster', 'Terminator Salvation' and 'Date Night'
